LASER TEXTURING
PRECISION LASER TEXTURING FOR FUNCTIONAL AND AESTHETIC SURFACES

SOFTWARE
Using the component CAD data, textures and designs are applied digitally before production. Our software calculates the optimal process automatically, supporting seamless patching, advanced UV mapping for complex textures, and full 3D simulation of the machine programme.

PROCESS
Direct Laser Surface Texturing is a process used for product differentiation and decoration, or for adding value to already finished components.

MATERIALS
Laser texturing is applied across a wide range of materials, with processes adapted to suit each substrate. Material properties are carefully considered to ensure consistent texture definition, surface integrity and repeatable results.
LASER TEXTURING FOR MOULD TOOLS
Replicating textures onto moulded parts can elevate a product and allow for customisation. Using our 5-axis laser texturing technology we can apply virtually any texture to a mould tool. Whether it’s the grain of natural wood, the subtle pattern of leather or a custom design unique to your brand our advanced 5-axis laser systems ensure accuracy and repeatability that other methods simply can’t match.

YOUR VISION
The process begins with your design vision. We can work from CAD files or for organic textures such as wood grain we can scan a physical sample. This ensures the texture is replicated with complete accuracy. Once programmed, our 5-axis laser machine applies the pattern directly to the mould tool whilst perfectly adapting to complex geometries and ensuring consistency if you have a suite of tools to complete.

TEXTURE MATTERS
Texturing isn’t just about aesthetics. A well-designed texture can:
-
Enhancing product appeal: Replicate premium materials like wood or leather.
-
Improving functionality: Add grip, reduce glare or aid mould release.
-
Elevate brand identity: Create a signature look that sets your products apart.

ELEVATED DESIGN
A recent project involved creating a wood grain texture for a double glazing window manufacturer. By scanning a sample of natural wood grain and transferring it to the mould tool we eliminated the need for overlays or printed films and offered the client an authentic wood grain finish that elevated their product line.
