What is laser
marking?
Very much as it sounds, a precisely controlled laser beam
is used either to discolour the surface of a component or
to vaporise material. The laser parameters and the laser’s
position can be precisely controlled to provide high contrast
marks in the form of barcodes, logos and graphics. If a surface
is painted then the laser can be used to precisely remove
paint. By choosing a translucent substrate that is a contrasting
colour a graphic can be backlit for night and day readability. |
What can
be marked?
All metals, most plastics and many ceramics can be marked
or etched. We accept batches from one item to many thousands.
FIMARK has customers who require micron accurate marks on
fibre-optics communications devices or simple logos on pens
for corporate gifts. Fabricated components, medical devices
and instruments, nameplates, labels, bathroom and kitchen
fittings, keyboards, buttons, bezels, micrometer thimbles,
plated parts, moulded parts, cast parts, fascia plates, carbon
fibre dashboards or medical jigs. You name it, we have probably
